When Valsana Hotel Arosa was built, particular attention was paid to the use of sustainable materials and to a forward-looking energy concept. Sustainability has been a matter of course at the Hotel Schweizerhof Lenzerheide for years. Food is sourced seasonally and directly from the producers – the closer the better. The "Schweizerhof" is going its own way with the "BergAcker" project: potatoes, barley and field beans are grown for the Scalottas Terroir restaurant in a field according to old mountain farming traditions. Resource consumption is constantly optimised in hotel operations and in the kitchen. The renovation of the building envelope of the "Belvedere" not only saved heating costs and emissions, but also created living space for the benefit of wildlife by creating new nesting sites for swifts. By supporting a drinking water project in Uganda and a vocational training project in Bhutan, the Belvedere Hotel family's commitment goes far beyond Scuol.

The Chamanna Cluozza is the only managed hut in the heart of the Swiss National Park. The National Park has set itself the goal of being innovative and exemplary in the area of sustainability with the operation of the Chamanna Cluozza. The use of available resources is careful, and the ecological footprint is to be kept as small as possible. In 2021, the main building was gently renovated, and a new tower-like building was constructed for the employees. The electrical energy comes from a micro hydroelectric power plant and the biological wastewater treatment plant is the first of its kind in Switzerland.

Sustainability means conscious action in the family business. As many products and suppliers from the region as possible are considered for the guest offer. The rooms and dining room of the Hotel Landgasthof Staila were gradually renovated with pine wood from the Val Müstair.
