Guided animal and nature observation with APUS BIRDING

Graubünden is an ideal observation area for typical mountain bird species and animal species of the structurally rich cultivated country. On this trip we start in Lanquart and spend two nights in Zernez at the gate of the Swiss National Park. In the Bündner Herrschaft near Malans, on the Flüela Pass and in the beautiful mountain world of Piz Lagalb, we observe typical mountain birds such as mountain pipits, rock partridges, rock redundancies, golden eagles and bearded vultures. In the Stazerwald we try to observe typical forest species such as the pygmy owl, the three-toed woodpecker and the alpine on an evening excursion. The conclusion is made by observations in the structurally rich cultural landscape near Ramosch in the Lower Engadine. 
 
Important: This is not a pure ornithological trip. The aim is not to generate as large a species list as possible and to discover as many rare bird species as possible. On this long weekend we want to explicitly dedicate ourselves not only to the birds, but also to observe exciting representatives of other animal groups such as early butterflies, grasshoppers and reptiles and to photograph beautiful plants and enjoy the landscapes and understand ecological relationships. With Jakob and Christian's local knowledge, the chances are good to see many target species. 

Important; We don't do long, strenuous hikes, but we still have to take medium-long walks on hiking trails to get to the target species. That's why a basic level of fitness and a little surefootedness is an advantage.
