Music Week at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz – Young Talents Enchant with Sound

When young, highly talented musicians gather at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, music becomes a matter of the heart. The Grand Hotel is transformed into a stage for classical highlights: soloists, chamber music ensembles and an entire orchestra take the audience on a journey through worlds of sound – from Beethoven to romantic rarities.

Tuesday, April 22 – Friday, April 25 | 4:30 – 5:00 p.m.
A musical treat for afternoon coffee: four short, charming concerts with three soloists of the Music Week, accompanied by the piano lecturer of "Stringendo". Half an hour full of talent, emotion and inspiration.

Chamber music evening in the Green Salon
Friday, April 25 | 8:00 p.m.
In the stylish ambience of the Green Salon, chamber music ensembles of the Masterclass present works from the Classical and Romantic periods. An evening full of youthful fire, fine nuances and rousing ensemble art.

Gala concert in the Kursaal – with the course orchestra "Stringendo"
Saturday, April 26 | 2:00 p.m.
The musical highlight of the week: the gala concert with orchestral works, including works by Beethoven, as well as solo contributions. The approximately 16 masterclass participants will play the most beautiful works from the classical and romantic periods.

ABOUT "STRINGENDO"
"Stringendo" was founded in 1999 by Jens Lohmann as a creative place of musical encounters for young, extremely talented musical talents.
Today, the 9 to 25-year-olds work together regularly under his leadership in three generations Stringendo4Kids, Stringendo14 (for Teens) and Stringendo2.0. They are often supplemented by members of the professional group Stringendo Zurich.

"Stringendo" cultivates the idea of bringing together established musicians and talents still in their training for musical encounters. The international experience and interpretive maturity of the professionals is combined with the dynamism, fire and unconditionality of the young artists to create special experiences. The intergenerational principle plays a central role in many programmes, triggering important development processes in the young musicians and enthusiasm in the audience. Equally important for the modular ensemble concept is that its members play together in smaller formations on a project-by-project basis, that these chamber music "cells" are integrated into concert programmes and that members of the orchestras are regularly given the opportunity to perform as soloists. "Stringendo" is thus both a training tool for young aspiring musicians and a highly attractive partner for event organisers. The numerous activities of "Stringendo" are supported by the Friends of the "Förderverein Stringendo" and at the Zurich Conservatory MKZ.
