Event Engadin St. Moritz
White Turf St. Moritz 2026

Description
On February 8, 15, and 22, the frozen Lake St. Moritz transforms into an international hotspot. On the expansive racetrack, seasoned jockeys and their noble thoroughbreds showcase fast-paced gallop and trot races, as well as the world-exclusive skijoring event.
Over 30,000 people travel to the Engadin mountains every year to experience the unique horse races on the frozen Lake St. Moritz. On three Sundays in February, the international professional jockeys steer their spirited racehorses across the snow, setting the air throbbing with excitement.
The undisputed highlight is skijoring, as this spectacular form of racing is unique to St. Moritz: Riders are pulled on skis by an unridden thoroughbred at speeds of up to 50 km/h over the 2,700-meter course. A healthy dose of courage, strength, and stamina are always required.
Live music, culinary delights, shopping opportunities, and a children's paradise await guests of all ages in the 130,000 m² tent city. Horse fans, jockeys, trainers, owners, volunteers, visitors, locals, and celebrity guests create the glamorous atmosphere that makes the event a legendary highlight of the winter season.
