The nineteenth-century palace that houses the Art Museum is an exceptional example of refined local architecture; its origins are directly linked to the activities of Antonio Semadeni, a skilled and successful pastry chef who emigrated to Poland, who built it in 1856 in place of a previous old rural house.

The past lives

In his memoirs, Gian Giacomo Matossi (1753-1838), one of the first emigrants who sought his fortune as a confectioner, recounts that he bought an old house in Via di Puntunai with his first income.

For the preparation of Puschlaver specialties, the restaurant mainly uses local organic products. The supplier of this is Reto Raselli, the brother of the hotelier.
