Description

The start and finish of the circular tour is the Islabord parking lot/viewpoint between Versam village and Versam-Safien railroad station. The view of the Rhine Gorge from the Islabord platform is breathtaking and always worthwhile. Right from the start, the trail leads through forests and meadows through Versam and up to the Maiensässen near Calörtsch. You reach the highest point of the tour on the Brünner Alp on natural roads without much effort. Here, too, you are offered a particularly exciting panorama. You look across to the Flims plateau, which impressively shows the traces of the great landslide around 10,000 years ago. The ride down to the idyllic village of Brün is a brisk one on natural roads. From here, the route continues on secondary roads down to the main road. You stay on it for a very short stretch before continuing on forest roads back to the starting point.

Geheimtipp

A visit to the Islabord viewing platform is definitely worthwhile to enjoy the impressive Rhine Gorge.

There are various trail options on the descent from Imschlacht to Carrera. Pay attention to the trail signs. The trail difficulties are between S1 and upper S2.

If you ride across the Carrera campsite, please ride across the campsite at walking pace. Out of consideration for the camping guests. Thank you!

Sicherheitshinweis

Respect other trail users - trail tolerance!

The tour should not be undertaken in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes are frequent in the mountains. If a rain front or similar is approaching during the hike, you should turn back in good time.
