From Rabius you drive on the old dirt road down to Surrein. You cross the Rhine and reach the tranquil village of Surrein. You cross the village at the bottom of the valley in the direction of Disentis. At the Cumpadials/Val Sumvitg junction, turn right, cross the Rhine a second time and climb up to Cumpadials, then take the right turn on the side road to Sumvitg. Once you arrive in Sumvitg, cross the main road and drive up on the side road towards S.Benedetg/Clavadi.
At the next junction, continue along the tarred road to the sunny hamlet of Clavadi. From there, the route leads on a dirt road up through the mountain pastures from Salvaplauna to Crest Ault at 1657 m.a.s.l.
