We visit the goats on Alp Puzetta
Details
Description
Behind the Hotel Posta in Platta, the hiking trail leads us first across pastures and later through the forest to Alp Puzzetta, one of the oldest alps in the canton of Graubünden, which has always been grazed by goats. The fact that this alp has been preserved over so many years can certainly be attributed to the well-situated, large and high pastures.
In spring 2005, the dilapidated hut was rebuilt and now forms a very special attraction with the red building shining far out into the landscape. We descend in a straight line through the forest to Fuorns, with glimpses of the wild waters rushing down from the Val Buora on the left side.
In Fuorns we change to the other side of the valley and enjoy the leisurely hike along the Rein da Fuorns, past the picturesque houses and maquis of Muots, Matergia and Drual to Platta.
