Description
From Sedrun train station, the path leads above the railway line to Bugnei. After crossing the railway, you join a forest road heading towards Bostg. After a while, you turn onto a steep, narrow hiking trail and soon reach Bostg. To the west, you have wonderful views of the Tujetsch Valley, while to the east you will see Disentis with its magnificent monastery. In fine weather you will be able to see all the way over to the lower Surselva. The hike continues along the Senda Pauli alpine trail, which is known for its splendid and diverse alpine flora, and on to the top station of the Disentis cable car. Make the most of the Caischavedra panorama restaurant with its large, sunny terrace and views of the Medelser glacier before heading back down into the valley by cable car.
Disentis cable car station operates: beginning of July - mid-October. The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn railway station "Acla da Fontauna" is just a five-minute walk from the cable car station. (stop on request) Simply hop on the train and you'll be back in Sedrun in a matter of minutes. You can also do this hike in reverse.

The terrace of the Panormarestaurant in Caischavedra leaves nothing to be desired in terms of cuisine and views.
