Description

The Outdoor Fitness Trails in the Heidiland holiday region comprise more than 30 uniformly signposted running routes from a total of 10 stations, making it one of the largest open-air fitness parks in the Alpine region. The Cafrida Trail is one of five running trails around the Flumserberg station.

The starting point for this 5.3 km long trail is the info point of the Flumserberg station opposite the Heidiland information point (1350 m above sea level). From there, the Cafrida Trail first leads on a tarred road to the outside of the village. The route continues almost flat on the so-called 13-hundred-metre walk to Cafrida (1333). From Cafrida you have a wonderful view towards the Seeztal and towards the Chur Rhine Valley. After the warm-up, the challenge follows: From Cafrida, the trail leads over a cow pasture, which is accessible by a steep alpine path up to 1418 m above sea level. Once you have mastered this incline, it is almost all downhill. Again on a tarred road, the circular route leads through a small forest over the Madils plateau to the Tannenbodenalp (1399), which offers a magnificent view of the Churfirsten. From the Tannenbodenalp it goes back to the starting point in Tannenboden village.
