This circular bike route leads through the middle of the Sedrun holiday region in two loops. Shady mountain forest alternates with great panoramas of glaciers and peaks. Pretty alpine farms and diverse flower meadows characterise this route.

Description

Route 206 in the Disentis Sedrun holiday region leads to the side of the valley opposite Sedrun to Surrein to the Nalps Valley. Up to the reservoir the route climbs consistently. After the tunnel, on the final ten bends in the road the climb intensifies slightly. As soon as the height of the reservoir wall is reached, a wonderful view of the rear part of the valley opens up with the impressive Piz Gannaretsch peak on the left and to the majestic Oberalpstock to the North. On the left-hand shore of the lake, cyclists can continue beyond the end of the lake to just before the waterfall (2,015m). You return via the same winding route until it reaches the intermediate plain before the bridge across the Rein da Nalps. Then the ride continues through sloping mead-ows on the right side of the valley. The panorama-rich single track leads to the Walser settlement of Pardatsch da Vaccas. From here the forest road – initially plunging steeply then descending gently - takes you via Cavorgia back to Sedrun. A stop at the Lag da Claus bathing lake before Surrein is an absolute must and rounds off this panorama-rich tour perfectly.
