Starting from the parking lot, follow the dirt road that enters the valley, bypassing the artificial basin and which in a few minutes leads us to the bar that closes the passable road.

From here you climb up with a few hairpin bends to Lake Cavloc in less than an hour. If you want, there is a path that reaches the lake on the other side, avoiding the dirt road.

You circumnavigate the lake keeping it to the right and reach the restaurant there and the malga where you can buy goat's cheese.

go up to this point along a path that narrows and then loses altitude slightly, up to the junction for the Passo del Muretto.

We, on the other hand, continue to the right, pass the small dam and enter the wildest side of the valley.

The path at this point becomes narrower, the beaten earth and grass give way to stones and debris, which become predominant as we climb. In about an hour we are at the bridge over the stream, in the plain at the foot of the glacier.

We cross the bridge and start climbing to the right. Be careful, the path from 2019 is different from the one shown on the maps, it starts lower and then climbs to cross the old track with a wide traverse to the left.

The climb with its about 500 meters of elevation gain requires a bit of effort, also because the very uneven terrain does not help, but in forty minutes you can reach the refuge quite easily.
