Description
The snowshoe tour Danusa-Scära is a much used variant, which also offers enough space to dodge. The tour leads through the slightly hilly landscape of the Furnerberg and always offers a new panorama. Once there is a view over the Prättigau with the Rätikongebirge and shortly afterwards the view over the Rhine Valley to Lake Walen with the Churfirsten.
Geheimtipp
Additional loop on the Scäraegg - the panorama is wonderful.
Sicherheitshinweis
Tour is not signposted and runs through clear terrain. Knowledge of maps is required. Not protected from alpine dangers, snow and weather conditions must be clarified. For tours away from marked and signposted areas, we generally recommend that you carry safety equipment. In case of considerable avalanche danger caution is advised, in case of high or even very high avalanche danger this tour is not recommended.
Ausrüstung
A good and functioning snowshoe equipment with sturdy shoes is the basis of every snowshoe tour.
Directions
The tour first runs along the signposted Danusa round trip to Alp Rona and from there a few hundred meters further. As soon as the signposted tour branches off to the left in the direction of Höhbord, continue straight ahead. In a long right-hand bend you now reach Scära at a constant height (+/- approx. 50 m ascent). Once in the Scära area, it is worth taking a loop over the Scäraegg, where you will be rewarded with a panoramic view. Back to Danusa it goes on the same route as on the way there.
Optionally, the signposted tour via Höhbord to the valley station of the Danusa chairlift can also be selected.
