The tour links two countries on the Rhine: Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Five castles with a common history line the route. In addition to the ancient buildings, towns such as Buchs and Vaduz are well worth a visit.

Description
Vaduz Castle is the Principality’s landmark building, and has presided over Vaduz from its rocky outcrop for some 700 years. It has been the official residence of the Princely Family since 1938. The River Rhine is then crossed over the Energy Bridge and the route leads to Buchs. The castle and small town of Werdenberg are for the most part still in their original state from the 13th century. The ascent to the ruined fortress of Wartau can be mastered with ease by e-bike. The route then descends to Sargans Castle. Gutenberg Castle in Balzers, also dating from the 13th century, is visible from afar and stands on a rocky outcrop that is more than 70 metres high. Finally, the castle tour takes you back to the starting point along comfortable cycle paths.
Ascent from Plattis to Gretschins suitable only for riders in good condition. (145 metre altitude difference over 2 kilometres) alternative route: From Sevelen follow the Föhn Skate No. 62 to Trübbach.
