Description
The first few meters lead through the historic district of Ilanz, the first town on the Rhine. The route continues along the main road to Cumbel in the Lumnezia region. From now on, it gets quieter and your own breathing gets louder. The asphalted alpine road leads past the pretty mountain village of Morissen and on to the secluded Sogn Carli chapel. Here you can enjoy a picnic or heat up the fire pit. But if you don't want to carry any extra ballast up the mountain, you'll get your money's worth a short time later at the Bündner Rigi restaurant with the best panorama.
Please note: the Bünder Rigi mountain restaurant is not always open. Click here for the opening times.
From here, your route leads you back to Ilanz via gravel roads and little asphalt.
Geheimtipp
If you prefer to ride up on gravel and down on asphalt, you can also tackle the tour in reverse.
Sicherheitshinweis
The tour should not be undertaken in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes are frequent in the mountains. If a rain front or similar is approaching during the hike, you should turn back in good time.
