Solche Spuren sollten es sein
The Piz Dadens from Brigels is no Sunday stroll. But it is definitely a great ski tour in alpine surroundings. You can set off virtually from your hotel bed, or from somewhere in the mountain village of Brigels. You should be out and about early in spring. Many slopes are exposed to the south.

Description

You can put on your skins at the Sogn Giacun chapel and start the tour. The start is leisurely. The route begins on the alpine road through the forest, later across alpine meadows to the Tschegn Dadens Sut alp. Now the slopes become steeper in places and it is easy to gain height. Above the tree line, in Val Miez, the scenery becomes even more magnificent. The rock formations on Piz Dadens and Piz Dado come closer and the panorama to the south stretches further and further with every step.

From an altitude of around 2500 m.a.s.l., turn left towards the west and climb over the increasingly steep hollow, later with a northerly exposure up to the ski depot just below the summit. The ascent to the summit is mostly on foot. The small summit peak is usually not climbed in winter. It is quite exposed and tricky to climb.

The descent follows the ascent route back to Brigels. This tour should only be undertaken in safe conditions. The slopes near the summit in particular are very steep and there is a risk of falling in places. However, Piz Dadens is a great ski tour in safe conditions and with appropriate technical ability.

Geheimtipp

Be sure to start early in spring. At this time of year, you may have to carry your skis a little at the beginning and end of the tour.

Sicherheitshinweis

Ski and snowshoe tours in unsecured terrain require a good knowledge of avalanche risk assessment and tour planning. Furthermore, complete safety equipment must always be carried - regardless of the current avalanche risk.

We recommend using the WhiteRisk app and website to prepare and plan your tour.

For carefree enjoyment, we recommend our Surselva mountain guides.
