Details
Description
The cable car takes us comfortably to the starting point in Cuolm da Vi. We first hike a little downhill on a newly laid hiking trail until, after a short climb, we are already at the summit of Piz Las Palas. The summit cross is fenced off and a massive wooden bench ensures that we can enjoy the view in peace.
To continue the hike, we go back a few meters on the same path, but then continue down into Val Segnas, where we meet the Senda Pauli high-altitude trail. In July, the path is lined with alpine roses, gentian and arnica. A real feast for the eyes. We cross a rushing mountain stream twice before we enter a spicy-smelling pine forest and after that our destination, Caischavedra, can already be seen. The mountain restaurant with a sun terrace is open, ideal for ending a day of hiking with a sparkling drink. We float back down into the valley with the cable car and the train takes us back to Sedrun.
Variation: In the opposite direction, the hike is a bit more sporty.
Sicherheitshinweis
Fairtrail: The Senda Pauli is also a mountain biking trail. With consideration and understanding it always works.

Directions
From Sedrun station we start in an easterly direction. At Bogn Sedrun we pass under the railway line and follow the rails to the junction into Val Bugnei. In Val Bugnei we leave the Maiensässe on the left, follow the road to the right and later turn left again onto the hiking trail to Bostg. Now we descend briefly to the small pass and continue in a straight direction on the ridge to the summit. From Las Palas we cross the second half of the ridge to the Stavlets. There we meet again on the marked hiking trail to Sedrun. At the crossroads below Cungieri we choose the narrow path through a small forest until we meet a road. We follow this until the next right turn. Where the beautiful, carved capercaillie stands, we leave the road again and take the forest path over the Scanziala back to Sedrun.
