Welcome to the source of the Rhine!

Life is a journey, they say. If that's true, you should take a break every now and then on this trip - and linger in the Rhine Forest. After all, this is where you are at the source of life. This is where the Hinterrhein originates, one of the most important source rivers of the Rhine, which connects millions of people over 1200 kilometres.

The secrets of the Rhine can be experienced on the 4.5-kilometre-long Rhine source path between Hinterrhein and Nufenen. And you can easily discover the picturesque villages of Hinterrhein, Nufenen, Medels, Splügen and Sufers. In and at selected fountains there is information about the villages.
