Rundwanderung Crappa Grossa
Show all 6 images
The "Crappa Grossa" tour in Cumpadials leads along a spectacular hiking trail constructed with logs along the Rhine to Pardomat and back over the floodplain forest of the Darguns Dadens and Dado.
Details
Description
The hike starts at the bridge over the Rhine at Cumpadials and takes you along the right bank of the Rhine towards Disentis. After leaving the nature trail behind, the spectacular part begins. The section, which was built with logs, was completely rebuilt in 2021 to avoid the slipping right flank to the Rhine. It zigzags up to the top point and then down through a moss-covered path to Grappa Grossa (large stones) and on to the hydroelectric power plant at the foot of the wild Russein ravine. From here you have a spectacular view up to the three bridges of the Val Russein. The bridge over the Rhine is then crossed at Pardomat. On the other side of the river, the trail takes you along the side road back to Pardomat Dado. You cross the floodplain forest of the wild "Darguns" (torrents) Dadens and Dado and return to the starting point via the hamlet of Falens.
The tour can also be done in the opposite direction or from Disentis via Madernal.
ATTENTION: The log path is not suitable for bikers!
Geheimtipp
Linger at the nearby Plaun Petschen playground, where a Swiss family fireplace and a beautiful natural lake await you.
Sicherheitshinweis
In uncertain weather conditions, the tour should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar comes up during the hike, you should turn back in time.
Ausrüstung
Good hiking boots with a good profile are an advantage, weather-appropriate clothing (rain jacket/sun protection), change of clothes, first aid kit, drink, food, ev. Hiking poles.
