Schafberg

Easily accessible and extremely scenic. A rewarding ski tour, not least thanks to the impressive view of the rock faces of the Rätikon massif and enjoyable descents.
Details
Description
From the winter car park (P5) in Rüti (1460 m above sea level), follow the winter access path (closed to public transport in winter) in the direction of Partnun for the time being. The path is also used by pedestrians and tobogganers as an access to the mountain houses. After about half an hour, you leave the valley floor (height of the Ronenegg 1649 m above sea level) and change over a wooden bridge to the left side of the valley, where you climb more or less along the summer path towards Alp Garschina. When the boulder-strewn plateau "Ganda" is reached, the tour soon leads left up to the Schafberg (north of point 2249). This summit access is quite steep, alternatively you can reach the summit via the northeastern ridge.
Geheimtipp
Schafberg can be ideally combined with the tour on the Girenspitz. Two magnificent ski touring peaks right next to each other!
Overnight accommodation in the nearby Carschinahütte SAC (www.carschina.ch). Not serviced in winter, winter room (self-catering).
