On an alpine mountain hiking trail, the path leads back to Graubünden to the Segneshütte at the lower Segnesboden. There are two peaks you can climb on this stage.
Details
Description
The fifth stage starts in the shade, because the grey rock faces in the south have to be climbed first. Alpine terrain awaits you and accordingly the path is marked blue/white. Right at the beginning, the path over the Grischsattel is marked blue/white, surefootedness and alpine experience are required. On the Grischsattel you will be rewarded with the first rays of sunshine of the day. If you like, you can climb the Laaxer Stöckli 2899 m or the Ofen 2872 m from here. From the Grischsattel it goes continuously downhill to the Grauberg mountain station. From here, the path leads to the left away to the lower Segnesboden.
The lower Segnesboden is a moorland of national importance and a very sensitive habitat. Please stay on the marked trail.
On the way to the Segneshütte you can take a last break at the roaring waterfall.
Summer 2023: During the construction work of the FlemExpress, the Segneshütte will be closed to overnight guests. As an alternative, TCS glamping on Alp Nagens is a good choice.
