Description
The winter hike starts in Vella near Sumsiaras and leads over a short ascent to the edge of the village in Bual. With the pyramid-shaped Péz Terri always in sight, we continue into the valley towards Davos Munts without any significant inclines.
At the idyllic snow-covered bathing lake Davos Munts, the long, only moderately steep ascent to Triel begins. The middle station of the Obersaxen Mundaun Lumnezia cable cars is located at one of the most beautiful vantage points in Val Lumnezia. The panorama stretches from the Signina group to the Péz Regina and the Péz Terri. From Triel it is possible to take the chairlift back to Vella.
However, the route continues to Morissen, past snow-covered mountain pastures. After crossing the mountain village, we return to Vella, whose village centre is characterised by sedate stone houses.
Geheimtipp
The hike can be shortened with an ascent or descent with the chairlift from Triel.
Refreshments: Seecafe Davos Munts, Bergrestaurant Triel, Il Mulin Morissen, various restaurants Vella
