Details
Description
In the village of Cumbel, you first walk along the local road to the start just before the Plaun Rueun picnic area. Now you climb up the beautiful south-facing slopes with your snowshoes on your feet. The warm wooden façades of the stables invite you to rest again and again before you reach the Sogn Carli chapel after around 1.5 hours. The panorama over the town of Ilanz, the Rhine gorge and the magnificent 3000 m peaks of the Sardona chain is unique in the Surselva.
The way back now leads over a short stretch of sparse forest near Curschias and onwards across open alpine meadows back to Cumbel.
Geheimtipp
Sicherheitshinweis
Ski and snowshoe tours in unsecured terrain require good knowledge of avalanche risk assessment and tour planning. Furthermore, complete safety equipment must always be carried - regardless of the current avalanche danger.
We recommend using the WhiteRisk app and website to prepare and plan your tour.
For carefree enjoyment, we recommend our mountain guides and snowshoe hiking guides in the Surselva.
The game needs plenty of rest to survive the harsh winter. Please adhere to the official prohibitions and recommendations.
