Description

The Septimer Pass connects the Bregaglia with the Oberhalbstein and forms the watershed between the Rhine and the Po. The tour starts in Bivio with a technically easy trail and then a rough, technically challenging part to Fuorcla da la Valletta. From the Forcellina there is a view of the high valley of Avers with the famous hamlet of Juf, the highest village in Europe that is inhabited all year round. The climate and the harshness of the high alpine zone at over 2500 meters are clearly noticeable. At the top of the pass there is a mountain lake and a few hundred metres in the direction of Bregaglia the Cesa da Sett with accommodation and refreshments.

Back to Bivio, you go through the high valley of the Septimer Pass on a path that changes to a forest road and finally to asphalt.
