Description
From Seewis you follow the road to Plileisch where the ascent lane usually begins. Continue north over open slopes and through short forest sections via Falliser to Wurzaneina (1535 m above sea level.M.). Via the alpine road you climb northeast into the Maiensässsiedlung Guora (1564 m above sea level.M). Over the long eastern ridge it goes past the huts in Sadreinegg (1891 m above sea level.M), always along the Crete to the small hollow in the southeast of the Vilan (2375 m above sea level.M.). The best way to reach the summit is via the steep southeast ridge.
For the descent there are - depending on the conditions and ability - different possibilities. Along the ascent route to Guora north of the ascent track you usually meet the better snow conditions than on the ridge.
The difficult, steep descent in the northwest over the Messerhaldenspitz (2175 m above sea.M level) to the Älpli and on to Malans is only recommended in good conditions and sufficient snow to the valleys.
