Details

Description

The trail leads past sulphur-iron springs and the Landwasser Viaduct. In the interplay between rest and relaxation, exploration and activity, exploration and contemplation , visitors become familiar with the element of water. At 11 stations, water in the cultural landscape can be experienced in its many facets.

Don't forget your swimming trunks! A visit to the Alvaneu sulphur bath is a must and relaxes the body and mind. (Currently closed)

The waterway was created by the initiative of the Albula Waterway Association and is also maintained by it. www.ansaina.ch

Geheimtipp

The waterway is also suitable as an excursion for school classes. On request, the association Parc Ela offers guided excursions.

Ranch Farsox

Species-appropriate animal husbandry is very important to Cordo Simeon on his farm. In the farm shop, Farsoxer dried meat, fitness salsiz, fresh meat from organic pasture-raised beef as well as raw bacon and ham from alpine pigs have been awarded the Parc Ela label.

UNESCO World Heritage railway

This over 100 year-old railway stretch over the Albula and Bernina passes is a masterpiece of construction engineering and line layout. Since July 2008 the Albula and Bernina lines of the Rhaetian Railway are part of the UNESCO World Heritage.

Landwasserviadukt

The Landwasser Viaduct is the largest and most spectacular bridge structure of the RhB and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. The bridge not far from Filisur is the end point of the railway adventure trail.

The barbecue area is located on the Ansaina waterway in the forest of Alvaneu Bad and can also be reached from the village in a few minutes. Just opposite the barbecue area is a playground. The Albula flows next door and only a short hike away is the Schaftobelfall and also the Crap Furò is about 1.15 hours walk away. The Crap Furò is the geographical centre of Graubünden - see Path of the Pioneers.
