The programme is about dissolute enthusiasts, a Spanish nobleman and a film score against his will. The focus is on Joaquín Rodrigos' brilliant "Fantasía para un gentilhombre" for guitar and orchestra from 1954, based on early Baroque dance movements.

Ottorino Respighi also draws on lute music from the 17th century in his atmospheric "Antiche Danze ed Arie" for strings (1931). Scenes from soldiers' life during the Thirty Years' War are described by Heinrich Ignaz Biber in his "Battalia" (1673). And a resounding sunset of enchanting beauty rounds off the concert: the Adagietto from Gustav Mahler's 5th Symphony (1904).

The guitarist Elisabeth Trechslin completed her training at the Winterthur Conservatory and completed her concert training there with distinction.
She performs in various chamber music formations (with piano, guitar, accompanies singers, etc.) and also plays alone on guitar and 9-string lute again and again - also scenic, playing, framing, accompaniing.
Elisabeth Trechslin teaches individual and ensemble lessons at the Winterthur Conservatory.
