Lecture with Wisi Zgraggen - there's no such thing as impossible

Wisi Zgraggen, a farmer from Uri, lost both arms in a tragic accident at work at the age of 25. Even at the scene of the accident, Wisi is certain: he wants to remain a farmer. Thanks to an iron will and a positive attitude to life, Wisi has made it with and thanks to his family - he is a successful farmer and masters his everyday life without arms. True to the motto "there's no such thing as impossible", Wisi talks about his life, his motivation, but also about setbacks and hurdles in everyday life.

It is mid-October 2002 when Wisi Zgraggen's life stands still for a moment. In a tragic accident at work while pressing silage bales, the young farmer from Erstfeld loses both arms.
The 25-year-old from Uri had big plans: he was in the middle of training to become a farm manager, his wife was expecting their second child, and the takeover of his parents' farm had already begun.
But Wisi wouldn't be Wisi if he had given up on himself and his dreams. Even at the scene of the accident, it was clear to him that he would continue to pursue his dream job as a farmer – no matter how great the challenges might be.
With an iron will and an impressive dose of courage to face life, he fought his way back – always supported by his family.
"There's no such thing as impossible!" – Wisi proved it to everyone. Today, he runs his farm independently and self-determinedly – even without arms.
