Of course, we don't have to sing the praises of Vivaldi's famous seasons at this point (autumn and winter will be heard in this program). His music is - since he actually experienced snow in Venice twice in his youth - authentic, humorous, sensitive and poignantly beautiful. Under the direction of the baroque violinist Christine Busch, we complement these seasons with unknown, fascinatingly differentiated music, which has also taken on impressive natural phenomena and convincingly set them to music in the earliest "program music".

The violinist Christine Busch studied as a scholarship holder with Wolfgang Marschner and Rainer Kussmaul in Freiburg, in Vienna with Boris Kuschnir and in Winterthur/Zurich with Nora Chastain, and during this time she has already participated with the Concentus Musicus Wien (inspiring: Nikolaus Harnoncourt and his musicians), the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. Since then, she has been equally successful as a soloist and chamber musician with both the "modern" and the "baroque" violin in concerts at festivals in Europe, the USA, Japan and Australia. As concertmaster, she enjoys working with Philippe Herreweghe and the Collegium Vocale Gent and in Stuttgart with Kay Johannsen.
Christine Busch can be heard on numerous CDs. From 1997 to 2000, Christine Busch taught as a professor at the Berlin University of the Arts and then followed a call to the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart in 2000.

The "orchester le phénix" was founded in 2000 and consists of a permanent line-up, from which chamber music ensembles are repeatedly formed for individual projects. It has performed with soloists such as John Holloway, Heinz Holliger, Maurice Steger, Pierre Favre, Christophe Coin, Giora Feidman, Andreas Staier, Sergio Azzolini, Nuria Rial, Emma Kirkby, Albrecht Mayer and with the "King's Singers". The orchestra records CDs at regular intervals and has already been awarded the renowned Echo Klassik Prize twice. In cooperation with choirs and with the Chur Theatre, "le phénix" proved its stylistic confidence and flexibility. The production with staged Bach cantatas (director Peter Konwitschny) was shown at the Theater Chur and at the Bergen International Festival (Norway).
