E-Bike & Hike - Sardonahütte SAC
Details
Description
E-bike tour to Alp Sardona (60km, 6h)
From Bad Ragaz it goes via the traffic-free Valenserstrasse into the Tamina Valley. Passing the milky blue Mapragg reservoir, you drive towards Vättis. At Vättis, the path branches off. To Alp Sardona we choose the path into the Calfeisental. Soon you will reach the gigantic Gigerwald dam. At the end of the Gigerwaldsee is the Walser settlement of Sankt Martin. We recommend charging the battery of the e-bike if necessary at the Walser settlement Sankt Martin. It is the last charging station in the Calfeisental. The last stretch to Alp Sardona is easy to navigate, although the valley becomes increasingly wilder. The way back to Bad Ragaz runs via Pfäfers.
Hike to the Sardona hut SAC (5.5 km, 2h 30 min)
As soon as the e-bikes are parked at Alp Sardona, the hike to the Sardona hut can begin. Via the "Hintere Melchi" and "Chäsboden" it goes up to the hut. There is a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and the Calfeisental. The way back is the same way.

Ausrüstung
Normal bike equipment, hiking boots. Functional clothing is an advantage, as after a longer ascent an equally long descent follows. Bicycle lights (due to tunnels) recommended.
Take a lock with you to complete your e-bike for the hike.
