Description

The excursion in Val da Camp crosses unspoiled natural landscapes and alpine landscapes cultivated for generations. At the beginning there is a magnificent view: the Valposchiavo shows itself in all its length and splendor.

For the ascent to the Saoseo refuge you use a dirt road that is subject to the motorized transit ban: only small postbuses and owners of fallow fish in Val da Camp are exempt from this prohibition. Through flowering meadows and fragrant woods you reach Lake Saoseo. The lake glows an incredible deep blue.

The gentle descent that leads to the valley completes this pleasant hike. A beautiful nature trail winds through the woods through streams and pastures of alpine flowers.

Geheimtipp

Near the lake there is a beautiful area dedicated to barbecue.

Directions

The route is signposted as a mountain trail (white-red-white difficulty level T2). The starting point is the PostBus stop in La Rösa. Passing on dirt roads and small paths not too steep continue towards Salva Dain to Lake Saoseo. Then descend towards Terzana and continue arriving in Pozzulasc. Caution is advised at the end of the tour: The last 100 meters to the PostBus stop are on the Bernina Pass road.
