Leisurely tour along the Rhine to Trun, with a stop at the playground Plaun Petschen in Cumpadials.
Details
Description
Our tour starts relaxed with a descent down to Brulf, directly on the Rhine. From there we follow the course of the river, roll through the charming village of Disla and on to Madernal. Here we come across contemporary witnesses of days gone by - a bunker disguised as an alpine hut, and old anti-tank barriers remind us of times long past.
We switch to the right side of the Rhine and dive into a shady alder forest. After that, the plain of Plaun Petschen opens up - a real leisure hotspot. Here it's time to take a break, recharge your batteries. Whether it's a barbecue, beach volleyball or a dip in the cool water - everyone will find the right refreshment here.
We continue to the right of the Rhine through sleepy Surrein. During the day, the place seems deserted, but in summer one of the largest bat colonies in the region is hidden in the church tower - but only active after sunset.
Surrein is also home to the Igniu bike and climbing park. Here you can still practice your skill and riding technique on the bike on various trails.
Shortly before Trun, we change sides of the river again - and treat ourselves to a small highlight at the end: the art trail. On the last hundred meters we are accompanied by original works by local artists - sometimes humorous, sometimes profound, but always worth seeing.
From Trun station, the train takes us comfortably back to Disentis - with many impressions in our luggage and perhaps already plans for the next tour.
Geheimtipp
Return to Surrein in the evening and watch the bats fly out just before dark.
