Schneeschuhtrail Panüöl-Prodalp

Away from the hustle and bustle of the ski slopes, it is a special pleasure to enjoy the idyllic nature of the Flumserberg on the Panüöl-Prodalp snowshoe trail.

Enjoy the sunny, managed alpine restaurant Panüöl with the best view of the local mountain Spitzmeilen. The Spitzmeilen is known for its imposing shape and has an altitude of 2,501 m.

The snowshoe trail starts at the Panüöl alpine restaurant. What used to be a small tea hut is now a popular meeting place for winter sports enthusiasts and nature lovers. On the cozy sun terrace you can enjoy the wonderful view of the Spitzmeilen. The tour starts with a slight climb – ideal for breaking in. At the foot of the Maschgenkamm, the highest point of the tour has already been reached. The steep descent through light-flooded spruce forest at the beginning is wonderful. Finally, you reach the groomed winter hiking trail Prodalp-Panüöl and follow it for a short section. The soft murmur of the mountain streams with their elegant ice columns makes the winter idyll perfect. With a bit of luck and a keen eye, mountain hares can be observed here. At the Rotenberg rest area, benches invite you to take a breather with a view of the imposing Spitzmeilen area. Shortly after Rotenberg, the trail branches off to the right and leaves the winter hiking trail. Trudging through the deep snow, we continue in the direction of Prodalp. The trail becomes flatter and slowly you approach the colorful winter hustle and bustle of the Prodalp. Before descending to the mountain restaurant, you should take in the fantastic view for a moment: The Churfirsten are enthroned in front of our eyes - the panoramic view of Selun, Frümsel, Brisi, Zuestoll, Schibenstoll and Hinderrugg is unique. At the mountain restaurant, the destination of the snowshoe hike is reached. On the Prodalp you can end the tour wonderfully and enjoy the afternoon sun to the fullest.
