Description

Starting from Mesocco in Val Mesolcina, you head towards Anzone, at 878 meters above sea level. The climb between huts and small hairpin bends leads to follow the Sentèi de Trescolmen which enters the forest that surrounds the village and continues steeply up to Alpe Curtas, located at 1634 meters above sea level. Once you reach the Bocchetta del Trescolmen at an altitude of 2161 m, continue almost flat to Lake Trescolmen. The waters of the glacial lake have shades of intense blue and reach a depth of 14 meters, making it one of the most fascinating and deep in the region. Continuing the journey in the direction of Rossa in Val Calanca, you leave behind the majestic natural amphitheater of Alpe Trescolmen. At about 1800 meters above sea level, cross the Rià de Campalesc and reach the left side of the Val Largè. The descent continues keeping flush with the river until the arrival in Casinot, where you then gradually continue the path sheltered by the shade of the trees up to Valbella. From here, you can decide to continue to the picturesque village of Rossa.
